Tight Fit Theatre : The Mysteries: the Passion 2000 : Unsolicited Testimonial

“I felt that I just must write to someone to tell them how enormously I enjoyed the presentation of the Passion play that you did in the U.R.C. in Beaconsfield on Wednesday evening.

“I am not normally much of a play-attender, and I'm afraid I went along on Wednesday evening rather out of a sense of duty as I am a regular attender at that church, but never expected the absolutely wonderful presentation that I was privileged to watch. When I arrived home after the performance, and sat down I realised that I had just watched something whose like I hadn't experienced for over 60 years. The last time I was equally overcome emotionally by a drama, was when I was a student in the early 30s, and just sat down completely overwhelmed and it was, just the same for me on Wednesday evening. I shall never, never forget it. It was really out of this world. There was just a sufficient mingling of action and suggestion to bring every second of that 1½ hours into a second that was never too long and never too short. Each of your actors played their parts superbly, and the soft spot I have always had for poor Judas, has become softer!

“I am enormously grateful to you all, and if ever I get the opportunity of seeing another, of your productions, I certainly shan't miss it! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
