On June 17th - 19th
Tight Fit Theatre in the Community
presents
A SERVANT TO TWO MASTERS
------------------------
at the Wycombe Swan Town Hall
(Did I mention, I'm in it? ;-)
Tight Fit Theatre in the Community presents Carlo Goldoni's hilarious play
in a new adaptation by Lee Hall, originally penned for the RSC. This
bawdy comedy is guaranteed to provide a sparkling evening in the
theatre, performed by an amateur company under the direction of Tight
Fit Theatre's Artistic Director, Mark Oldknow.
Truffaldino is an out of work servant, and in one fantastic day he ends
up with two jobs. And why not? - he's broke and hungry. Two jobs means
twice as much money, twice as much food and twice as much work! His two
masters, meanwhile, are just as busy. Separated lovers on the run, they
end up in the same inn, each unaware that the other is there. Which
isn't difficult seeing that one of them is in drag. Confusion abounds
in Carlo Goldoni's comedy of disguise, deception, love and longing.
An amateur production by arrangement with Samuel French Ltd

Tight Fit Theatre
presents
THE MERCHANT OF VENICE
----------------------
at the Wycombe Swan Town Hall
Wed-Sat 7.30pm
Thu 2.30pm (schools matinee)
"I will buy with you, sell with you, talk with you, walk with you, and so
following; but I will not eat with you, drink with you, nor pray with
you."
A new production of the most performed of Shakespeare's comedies comes to
the Town Hall Studio courtesy of our resident company Tight Fit Theatre.
After the acclaimed productions of King Lear and Romeo and Juliet,
director Mark Oldknow turns his attention to a play that has delighted
audiences for over 400 years. It is not hard to see why.
Love, betrayal and revenge - three powerful themes that permeate the
fabric of this production. And as is to be expected of this exciting,
young company a thrilling combination of theatrical schutzpah and textual
clarity. Not to be missed.
