This is the web version of an occasional newsletter published by
Tight Fit Theatre and distributed by snail-mail to those on the
mailing list.
If you would like (not) to receive it, or do not wish your
details to be held on computer only for this purpose, please call

Alternatively, you can go to the response
page and send a message.
No sooner are two new shows out of the way, along comes more entertainment for you. No room to waffle, so down to business:
Now's the time to book your tickets. Don't
delay: call our Box Office at Beech Cottage on 01296 615825
now! See later where I explain our new booking system. The full
price is £6 and concessions are £4. And it's no mistake, we
have earmarked a matinée for Friday 6th June and not Saturday.
This is to allow access to the performance by those, such as
schools.
Oh, and be warned: there are the occasional naughty words.
Details are a little sketchy at the moment (geddit?) but there will be a charity revue coming your way in July. A summer treat for the grown-ups. More details will be in the Past Caring programme and in the next SQUEEZE.
Preparation for the summer workshops are ploughing on and we
have already received a number of firm bookings. If anyone
reading this is thinking about coming along, or if your children
want to attend, I would suggest getting in touch very soon. With
over three and a half months to go (as I write this) 10% of the
places have been taken up.
Details and a booking form can be obtained from 08707 450977.
As mentioned in the last SQUEEZE, this management training film was due to be shot on 6 & 13 April. Unfortunately, the serious illness of our main contact in Canada Life (and a small flood in their office) has meant we have had to postpone shooting for the time being. We will be viewing other office venues to find a suitable alternative. Any offers?
I know The Human Resource team and the partners of Tight Fit Theatre wish Paul a very speedy recovery.
To obtain tickets for all our events, please call Beech Cottage (08707 450977) except for those events at the Wycombe Swan, when you should call 01494 512000.
In order to encourage early booking we are offering a discount
of 50p off each ticket booked through Beech Cottage and paid for
at least one week in advance. If you have no plastic we will
accept postal applications on the form overleaf. If you do have a
credit or debit card, use the on-line booking form. Although no
discount will be gained, you can also telephone to have tickets
put by which will be held up to 15 minutes before the performance
is due to start and for which you pay on arrival. In future,
Beacon Theatre seating will be unreserved, except for special
needs.
Concessionary tickets are available to those under 18, all
students, senior citizens and UB40 holders.
School parties (particularly for Past Caring) attract an
additional Pre-book discount of 25p a ticket for parties of eight
or more.
Well. The press liked it. The audience enjoyed it. And we all thought it was quite a blast too. It was something similar to Bouncers and then again not. In some ways it was interesting to observe the difference when women portray men as opposed to vice-versa. (And I'm not referring to their accoutrements!).
Thanks to Ian Wagge (thanks Ian!) I've posted some photos on the website but will have to upload them again as our webserver seems to have indigestion. Try it after 11th May.
Congratulations are in order. The Young Theatre
(at Beaconsfield) has staggered away from both the
Chalfont and Maidenhead Drama Festivals with a sackload of
silver. Well done all involved.
I wonder what will happen at the Kenton in Henley (next week as I
write this)? Do please go along on Tuesday 6th to see After
Midnight, Before Dawn and/or Wednesday 7th May to see Teechers
and lend your support. I'll be there or the wife will kill me.
For those who would like to see all three festival plays, but
have been unable to visit the festivals, go along to YT's social
evening on Saturday 24th May at 7.30pm. Tickets £5 & £4.

Beaconsfield Theatre Group were not so lucky at the Maidenhead or Chalfont festivals with their extract of Steel Magnolias and we wish them more luck in Henley. In addition, they will be presenting What the Butler Saw at 8pm on 14th - 17th May at the Beacon Theatre. Tickets 01494 677764.

In case you have not heard, Abacus has undergone a change of name and 'management'. Each Saturday morning its members meet at the Curzon Centre under the watchful eye of Carla Quelch and Tight Fit Theatre. Now known as Misfits, they will be producing Studio Theatre in the Owen Room. Application for membership is welcome from those aged 12 to 18.
What can I say? What effect will a change in Government have on arts budgets? Will they stop local councils selling off bits of public car parks? We will have to wait and see. Be seeing you,
